Excellent but pricey
I am a casual table tennis player who plays a few games almost every day at my college. Thus far, I have no complaints with the performance of this paddle. It gives me noticeably better spin and control, and it has a very comfortable handle. It is a great paddle, but the price is a bit steep. I looked all over and amazon's price is an unbeatable deal, but it is still a little more than I wanted to spend. However, it is infinitely better than the cheap paddles that are usually provided for games. If you have the money and want a really good paddle I would highly recommend this one. (note that I am a casual player and cannot speak for professional players or professional use)

good paddle but too expensive
This was the first paddle I bought when I was making the jump from a casual ping pong player to a more serious player. As I now play at the collegiate level, I no longer use this paddle. This is a good paddle for a beginner or intermediate player to develop the proper strokes. The paddle itself is very light (too light for my taste as I like a heavy setup. The rubber is quite tacky while the sponge is very soft. After playing with it for months, I found that this paddle suits a defensive minded player as it excels in pushing, service return, blocking and chopping while it has really good control. However the paddle does not suit an offensive player. While looping backspin is decent, it is hard to generate speed and power in loops away from the table, loop kills or smashes. While it's a pretty good paddle, you're better off ordering a custom one from an online site for the same price. That way you can order whichever blade and rubbers you want and they will assemble it for you (and...
The best Stiga racket I can get from the market
I bought it from Dick's Sporting Goods for $39. I have been using it for fun occasionally - probably once or twice a week, as I'm just a little better than entry-level/beginner. The handle's shade fits me well and feels comfortable. It may be a bit lightweight for some of those who have been long time DHS users, even it has 2mm sponge both side. The rubber is soft somewhat with the 2mm sponge make perfect looping (for me).
The cons as the other reviewer pointed out: a bit pricy. I believe most people who consider buying rackets like this one is at least better than beginners, who would like to pay more for quality. If so, I would not recommend to buy any other Stiga rackets but just this one if it fits your style. I have Stiga Charger - which costs me just a few bucks less but performs a lot poorer. I also have DHS 3002 which serves for a significantly different style - which I like too.
